Organizers
to open a new bank in Windsor
Windsor,
Colorado May 17, 2004 - It has been many years since
a new locally owned bank has opened in Windsor, Colorado.
That is about to change with Signature Bank’s
announcement that it has filed an application with the
Colorado Division of Banking and the Federal Deposit
Insurance Corporation to open a new bank in Windsor.
The bank will be located at 355 Eastman Park Drive in
the Water Valley Village.
Unlike the
plethora of out-of-town banks that have recently opened
branches in Windsor, Signature Bank will open as a new
bank organized and capitalized by a local investor group.
The organizers include Robert Hinderaker, Martin Lind,
Russ Sanford, Mike Ketterling and Brian Niess. The investment
group is comprised of 52 investors, most of whom have
an active interest in the Windsor community.
Mr. Hinderaker
will serve as president of the bank. He was formally
the president of the Windsor/Greeley market for 1st
Choice Bank and, following the sale of 1st Choice Bank,
served as regional president for Centennial Bank of
the West. “I have personally seen what a positive
impact a quality locally organized bank can have on
a community, and I look forward to getting back in that
environment with the opening of Signature Bank,”
said Mr. Hinderaker.
An opening
date for the bank has not been announced pending regulatory
approval. However, organizers are hopeful to announce
a date in the coming months. Following approval, the
bank will open in a temporary facility on the permanent
site.
